NahalThe Ein Gedi (Kid spring) spring itself is located on the western shore of the Dead Sea, and is the largest desert oasis in Israel.  It is watered by four springs. Its fresh waters made the settlement possible since ancient times, and was referred several times in the Bible as a fertile place.

Nahal David or David’s Stream is a desert oasis located in the Ein Gedi Reserve.  It is believed that at this place King David hid from the wrath of Saul some three-thousand years ago and it was here that he cut Saul’s, (who was the king at the time) robe rather than killing him.
